Luxurious spa access with great views to ourselves Beautiful scenic walks Snow but sun Luxury in the mountains

          9.2

Interior design of our room is simply cutting-edge. We also like that gas fireplace in our room.

Internet connection is not free and available only at the reception. Had to walk all the way from our cabin just to use their Wi-Fi network.

setting was great. I liked the lounges where you could relax with other guests in front of a fire. rooms were nice and nice setting. staff were all very friendly and efficient. great to see all the animals.

we were disappointed with what we got for the price we paid - $320 per night. rooms were nice but not luxurious, and bathroom was very basic, with the shower a little aged. I would have thought a bathtub appropriate given almost everyone would have been out walking all day and looking for a good soak. Breakfast was ok but nothing exceptional (included in the price). we felt the whole place was very commercialised, something we were not expecting from the location and reputation. appreciate the setting, but compared with what we paid and got in other locations over tasmania, sadly lacking.

The peace and beauty of the area, the 'luxury' and restfulness of the place.

A very enjoyable stay indeed. Like another world. Beautiful walks and wildlife. Very relaxing all round. Wonderful Restaurant. Enjoyed the open fires as well.

          9.6

I can take a walk anytime and see wildlife run though from my window. The room is warm and comfortable even if the outside temperature is less than 10'c. The service is also quick and satisfied.

        • Group of friends
          8.8

The setting, the local walks and the cabins were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful with the exception of the above problem.

I had booked a Queen and Single bedded room as we were two ladies traveling together and was advised on check in that we had been upgraded to an enhanced room with drinks provided, spa bath etc. We were disappointed when we arrived in the room to find one double bed, we therefore went back to what we had booked which was fine except that our expectations has been raised and dashed and we had the inconvenience of going back to reception to rectify the problem. Staff need to be more careful when promoting an upgrade.

I liked the atmosphere of the Lodge. Very restful. Restaurant excellent and the service during dinner.

          No complaints

The food in the Highland restaurant was excellent. The log fire in the cabin was perfect and made our stay so much more relaxing and comfortable. The staff were attentive and their service was of a very good standard. The proximity of the lodge to the national park. The spa was fabulous after a hard day of treking.

The fact that the weather didn't allow us to climb the summit. But that is out of everyones control!

Snug as a bug in a rug in front of the gas log fire, during a midsummer freezing cold snap

The bathroom fittings should include more room for putting personal belongings,

The location was the main attraction for my husband and I.

A flyscreen door on the cabins would be convenient with the amount of flys in the region.

          9.2

The peace and quiet. The wild life and the beauty of the cradle mountain.

A little expensive for what you got.

        • Older travelers

the surroundings and walks however we weren't there for long enough to enjoy them

I will be contacting the Cradle Mountain lodge marketing managers but on your website you show a picture of the room interior, however the room I got - and requested was a traditional room of which has not been renovated. It is quite dated but is the same price as the renovated rooms. An expensive $470 for what I got and I was very disappointed and felt miss lead by your website. They were unable to change my room due to availability. After lenghthy discussion they eventually offered me a upgrade however in the end I didn't take it as I wanted to enjoy some time of the only night I had there, not moving rooms and assing about. I just got over it. The whole thing left a bad taste in m mouth. The unrenovated rooms are robbery, to pay $470 is.

Spa treatment, easy access to walks, interior of cabin, wildlife around the Lodge, relaxed style, leather lounges and open fires.
